The
highly acclaimed Zachary's is a sophisticated world-class gourmet
restaurant under the helm of Executive Chef Geoffrey Murray, who
delights in serving up local ingredients inspired by global influences.
Named after the Chairman's much loved and well-travelled Labrador,
Zachary's is stylish and contemporary and reflects the five star luxury
of the hotel.
Zachary's impressive wine cellar stocks a superb collection of local and
international wines, including South African boutique blends. Zachary's
Private Dining Room
Zachary's Private Dining Room is a beautifully decorated, intimate space
which looks onto the exquisitely designed hotel cellar and caters for up
to 10 guests in a private party.
Diners may eat ŕ la carte or create a special menu with Executive Chef
Geoffrey Murray. Sommelier Werner Wentzel will match food to wines from
the award-winning Zachary's wine list on request.
Zachary's Lounge
This double volume space in the heart of the hotel, has two
fireplaces and looks onto Zachary's Terrace and the hotel swimming pool
with distant views of the Knysna Lagoon and Outeniqua Mountains.
With
its huge windows, glass doors and brightly coloured furnishings, the
Lounge is airy, light and spacious. In inclement weather, roaring log
fires blaze throughout the day making it an ideal venue for informal
dining, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and light meals. Children are
welcome and are catered for with special Kiddies menus.
Zachary's Terrace
Weather permitting, guests are able to dine al fresco on
Zachary's Terrace next to the pool area, with its breathtaking views of
the golf course and the Knysna Lagoon framed by the Outeniqua Mountains.
Breakfast, lunch and informal dinners are served here as well as light
meals throughout the day. Children are welcome and are catered for with
special Kiddies menus.
